On April 1, 2014, Marie Robinson of England lost her son Jack to brain cancer. The kindhearted little boy, age 4, also left behind his identical twin brother and three sisters.
Marie went to Jack’s grave on the third anniversary of his death. But the grieving mother never expected to get a visitor of her own.
Marie got in her car that morning to head to thecemetery. Jack, please show Mummy a sign, she thought to herself.
As she sat on the grass near Jack’s headstone, a small red robin took immediate interest in her, flying around her and fearlessly landing on her foot and hand.
Stunned, Marie took out her phone and filmed the robin as he looked straight into her eyes and then perched on her shoulder, gently nibbling at her.
“It brought me to tears,” Marie wrote on Facebook. “Taking it as a sign from Jack.”
In the spiritual community, it is widely believed that robins symbolize the presence of loved ones passed.
